New South Wales residents are being warned about a new phone scam where the caller pretends to be from the police. NSW Police Force said the scammers threatened the call recipients with fines or arrest.

Was called by a similar +353 22 number yesterday which uses a computer voice to tell you some bs about suspicious activity on your PPS number which makes no sense. It then says they're filling a lawsuit against you. Probably asks for money or personal details after that but I hung up.
Do not answer these numbers, I am expecting I'll get a load of calls from very similar numbers.
FYI the other number is +353 22 690 975 and is definitely a scam/phishing caller.
