I work for a telecoms company, an elderly customer came in with a text from this number claiming to be PTSB and stating that she had successfully setup her direct debit to "Shane Doyle" a name she has never seen before, needless to say blocked and reported. It would be highly unlikely for Banks to be giving out debtors names in unsecure texts.

rang, saying that there was unusual activity on my card stating a Shein and Amazon purchase. I said that I don't shop on Shein and had made a purchase on Amazon today. He then gave me the last four digits of a card that had been compromised a few months ago, at which stage I said 'so this must be a scam' and then he hung up. Two minutes later my phone rang again from the same number but I did not answer.
